Fall 2016

"Most Wanted" showcases the recently introduced species, Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle (CRB) and the Little Fire Ant (LFA). The exhibit includes specimens, videos (catch the video of the cute CRB walking past a golf ball, you will want one for a pet), a pheromone trap, and images of what our palm-studded landscape may look like after the CRB blight.

Astronomy Exhibit

Did you know you live on the planet Honua? And that the ship Hokule'a successfully navigated from Hawaii to Tahiti, using ancient Polynesian navigation techniques that are based in astronomy? Learn more at the Hawaiian Astronomy exhibit in Hamilton Library. This exhibit provides a very brief look at some of the ways Hawaiians have used astronomy. Inspired to learn more? Ask the librarian at the Science and Technology reference desk.
